Security Council Disbands The Big Five
Its official! The United Nation Charter had been reammended to revoke the veto powers of the five permenant members of the Security Council. The veto powers of the United States, United Kingdom, France, China and Russia have been revoked thus ending the "veto the resolution deadlock" that has been plaguing the council since the establishment of the UN.
Secretary General, Ban, said this new development is a path towards a more dynamic UN that represents the majority of the world. Initially, the ammendments were frowned upon by the United States and China. However, diplomatic pressures from the other permenant and non-permenant members of the council altered the stance of these two nations. This recent ammendment of the United Nation charter also includes giving a more binding decision-making powers to the General Assembly. This means the General Assembly may make a binding resolution at the request and advise of the Security Council. This will drasticly alter the overall balance of power within the world body.--Source: TheBogusNetwork

North Korean nuclear test a hoax!
The nuclear test that North Korean conducted on Monday was proved to be a hoax. Sattellite surveillances failed to find any trace of radiation. The seismic activitiy that was reported at South Korea and Japan was the result of a huge underground explosion believed to be of TNT or "other unstated explosives". The reported yield of the claimed North Korean nuclear test was a mere 550 tons of TNT, a far cry from the 20kT of the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima. It was reported that the North conducted a massive detonation of a \'reservoir of underground TNT\' and that created the seismic activities.
However, several pessimists rejected the hoax claim and argued that a huge amount of chemical would not explode efficiently to produce the huge yield produce in the detonation test last Monday. Only a nuclear device can efficiently deliver the massive yield and seismic shock reported. Source: TheBogusNetwork
MALAYSIA AND INDONESIA TO BASE RUSSIAN SPACE LAUNCHES
The Russian Space Agency made a deal with the governments of Malaysia and Indonesia about basing the Russians space launch pads in their territory. This means the Russian will be launching their rockets from Malaysia and Indonesia.
The exact location and those responsible for building the launch pads are to be disclosed in the near future. Rumors had it that Malaysian’s Heavy Industry Corporation Malaysia (HICOM) will be responsible for supplying the materials and logistics for building the launch pads.
The move of the launch pads from the Kazakhstan Cosmodrome is to allow greater efficiency in space launches due to the location of Malaysia and Indonesia that are near to the Equator. The centrifugal force due to earth’s rotation are the maximum at the equator will contribute about 400 m s-1 in orbital velocity, thus require less powerful rocket to achieve orbit.
KOREAN PEACE TREATY
The recent North Korean nuclear test had spurred a sense of nationalism throughout the Korean Peninsular. The government of South Korea was proud by the success of the nuclear test and said that if both Koreas unite, the new Korea would be a very powerful country politically, economically and militarily.
Both Koreas signed a landmark peace treaty yesterday, ending the technically ‘in state-of-war’ between both Koreas. The event would ultimately pave the way for a reunion of Korea in the near future.
The United States rejected the peace treaty and requested its South ally to reconsider the treaty. Close North Koreans allies welcome the move as saying that it would bring prosperity and development throughout the Korean Peninsular.

Nuclear Weapons Unusable In The Future?
A new technology was developed by China to counter the growing threat of a Nuclear War due to the recent nuclear testing by North Korea
The technology known as the "Nuclear Jammer" was developed by China's Scientific Physics and Application Labaratory in Shanghai.
The technology was believed to be capabled of nullifying all nuclear weapons and nuclear energy production. A leaked lab report stated that mini-scale tests shows positive result regarding the technology's capability to make nuclear fission unoperational. The technology uses a special wave to stop free neutrons from moving, thus disabling the most important starter and sustainer for nuclear reactions.
Anti-nuclear activists welcomed the new development and hope that the possible technology would render all nuclear activities all over the world useless.
Military experts commented by saying such technology, if used at a large scale would shield one nation from any nuclear attacks besides disabling its own nuclear energy production. Any nuclear powered ships, especially the United States Navy nuclear-powered carriers, would be crippled. The jamming wave are said to be capable of travelling through thick concrete and steel cases that are used to prevent radiation from nuclear sources. Therefore, heavy shielding of nuclear sources would probably not be effective.--Source: TheBogusNetwork
